Starting this off with great news—I'll be publishing one book this year. That's Voracity, an old WIP I finished editing and revising early this year.

I commissioned a cool cover from the same artist who made my map for Last Train Home. Hoping to have that by the end of next month; you can't rush perfection. That one will have print copies (ideally hardcover as well, but we'll see) from the start. I may have early copies for subscribers or through my shop (including Itch.io), but don't hold me to that. I still need to figure out a proper release date, especially in these trying times.

For all I know, the kind of books I write (queer, racially diverse, and not cis white male focused) might become illegal to publish in my home country. Just one more kick to the gut...but I'll find a workaround, even if I have to email copies and rely on donations instead. I just want my books to reach the people who need them...

In addition to Voracity, I have finished the first edits and revisions of book two of Early Adopter (title is still a WIP). I'm about to start my second round of edits soon. At the moment, I can't say for sure when I'll publish it. Ideally by September, but I need a cover first. And to afford the cover, I need money to pay a designer. I do have one in mind, the same who is remaking the cover of the first book, but her schedule may change in the future.

And then there's book three of Last Train Home, but that can wait. I haven't even considered editing it at the moment because I've been so busy. I can say that it's drafted, and I have a backlog of chapters for the webnovel.

Edit, 3/25: Actually, I'm finding it more and more prudent to make these books longer. Which not only means longer seasons, but doing more of what I did in book one: combining several seasons in a single tome. Covers aren't cheap, and these later seasons share a common theme and aim.

Oh, and I am working on a book for a pen name. So some of my time and funds are going towards that, but nothing that will consume me. Maybe when I'm done, I'll begin drafting book two in the St. Acton series. I'm in no real hurry because the demand for it is just...nonexistent. And I'll be the first to admit it's not my strongest book, and would benefit from a rewrite, le sigh.

But that's a problem for future me. I'm gonna focus on current projects and double back later, when I'm in a better mindset.

Oh, and if you see this post on the fediverse, please say hi! 👋🏾
